Biography
Nathan Beedle is a seasoned and aggressive trial lawyer known for his passion, dedication, and relentless pursuit of justice. Universally respected for his legal acumen and tireless work ethic, Nathan is committed to vigorously representing his clients and safeguarding their interests.
Nathan’s legal journey began in 2000 when he joined the Harris County District Attorney’s Office as an intern under then-District Attorneys Johnny Holmes and Chuck Rosenthal. From 2000 to 2005, he served in the Trial Bureau as a Harris County Assistant District Attorney. Following this, Nathan transitioned into private practice from 2005 to 2016, focusing primarily on criminal defense. During this time, he became part of an exclusive group of attorneys in the region who have both prosecuted and defended murder cases successfully.
From 2017 to 2020, Nathan returned to public service in the Harris County District Attorney’s Office as the Misdemeanor Division Chief. In 2021 he was elevated to Bureau Chief, leading the Misdemeanor, Alternative Solutions, and Environmental Divisions. In January of 2023, he was again elevated to the Deputy Chief of all Criminal Courts, responsible for all criminal cases filed in Harris County. He remained in that position until the day he left government service on December 31, 2024. During his tenure, he oversaw more than 500,000 criminal cases, including nearly 100,000 DWI cases. Nathan is extremely excited to be back as a criminal defense attorney and is ready to use all his experience to defend clients to the best of his abilities.
Nathan is also an accomplished academic and athlete. A proud University of Washington graduate, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology with a minor in Forest Management in 1996 while playing Division I soccer as a Washington Husky. He went on to earn his law degree from Syracuse University, where he was an Executive Editor of the Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. He also earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from the State University of New York’s College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Nathan has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2001 and holds additional admissions to the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas (2005), the Federal Circuit (2006), and the United States Supreme Court (2006).
On the personal side, Nathan grew up in San Diego, California. He loves soccer, nearly every competitive sport, music, being active, and is working towards fluency in Spanish. He is married and has three children, all of whom share his love for soccer and staying active.
